A 28-year-old man, Mark Tulley Brighton Paedophile, who tried to lure someone he thought was a 13-year-old girl to have sex with him has been jailed for six years.
2015 saw Mark Tulley of Bowring Way granted a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) following his encouragement of an actual young adolescent girl to forward naked images.
Mark Tulley has been accused of breaching it in and out of court.
He got into an internet messaging platform on July 4 this year, contacted and set up to meet someone he believed to be a 13-year-old girl in Worthing.
Enquiring about her bra size and underpants, he made plans to see her for sex.
He was brought before Crawley Magistrates Court and charged with violating the ban and planning to have sex with a minor the very next day.
Mark Tulley entered a guilty plea and was sentenced to six years in prison on Tuesday with an additional four years on extended license. He was sent to the crown court.
Supported by Sussex Police’s Management of Sexual Offers and Violent Offers (MOSOVO) unit, the charges tracked an inquiry by the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU).
“Despite already being subject to a SHPO, Mark Tulley chose to breach this and accessed an online messaging platform to contact and arrange sexual activity with someone who he believed to be underage,” Deputy Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Sergeant Dan Hope of SEROCU stated.
“This unequivocally indicates that he will now spend time in prison and still poses a threat to our towns.
Mark Tulley will also have to sign the sex offender registry indefinitely.
“SEROCU is dedicated to seeing offenders of sexual crimes brought before justice.
