In 2022, Mark Grayson, the Wadsley Paedophile and Sex Offender, a then 34-year-old man from Sheffield, was incarcerated after being convicted of grooming and sexually assaulting a minor girl.

Mark Grayson, previously residing on Avisford Road, Wadsley, has received a six-year prison sentence and a lifelong Sexual Harm Prevention Order, prohibiting any extended contact with individuals under the age of 16.

The victim was between the ages of 13 and 15 at that time.

Investigating Officer Amy Todd, from Sheffield’s Protecting Vulnerable People Investigation Unit, stated: “Mark Grayson is a man in his 30s who befriended and subsequently groomed a girl under the age of 16 for his own sexual gratification.”

Mark Grayson’s victim was led to feel she was in a consensual relationship with him, reflecting the depth of his manipulation. It is a tragic feature of sexual exploitation that young, vulnerable individuals are deceived into thinking that their experiences constitute a loving connection.

GrayMark Graysonson spoke with his victim, whose identity is protected for legal reasons, via the social media platform Snapchat, sending her inappropriate messages before requesting a meeting; upon her agreement, he sexually assaulted her.

The victim’s relatives notified the police about Mark Grayson’s offences when she disclosed that he had been involved in sexual conduct with her.
