A registered Skelmersdale Paedophile sex offender, Mark Davies, has been incarcerated for sharing several obscene photographs of youngsters online.
Mark Davies, 36, utilised the social media sites Snapchat and Discord to disseminate the photographs.
The incidents occurred shortly after Mark Davies was released from prison for the sexual abuse of a minor.
In July 2024, Lancashire Police apprehended Mark Davies and confiscated his mobile phone in Skelmersdale as part of an inquiry into the possession of indecent photographs, subsequently leading to his immediate recall to prison.
During the investigation of this offence, police discovered that additional accounts associated with Mark Davies had submitted obscene photographs of minors while he was on police bail in July 2024 and shortly after his release in May 2025.
Mark Davies was re-arrested by officers from Lancashire’s South Internet Child Exploitation unit, who secured the necessary evidence to remand him into custody.
Mark Davies, who has no permanent residence, admitted guilt to six charges of producing indecent photos of minors and one charge of possessing severe pornographic material.
On Wednesday, August 6th, at Preston Crown Court, Mark Davies was sentenced to 22 months in prison, with an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order, and subjected to sex offender notification obligations for a duration of 10 years.
