Sentencing is scheduled on Friday for Mark David Wallin, a Del Rey Pedophile, Westside Los Angeles resident, who utilised websites and applications, including Snapchat, to meet and lure youngsters into engaging in sexually explicit activity via video chat, then capturing screenshots and recordings of them.

Mark David Wallin, 44, from the Del Rey neighbourhood, pleaded guilty in January 2023 to one count of child pornography production and one count of enticing a minor to participate in criminal sexual activity, as reported by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

As to his plea deal, from 2019 to August 2021, Mark David Wallin utilised the internet to “connect” with pre-teen boys and girls, both internationally and domestically, subsequently cultivating online relationships with the intention of procuring sexually explicit images and videos from the minors.

Mark David Wallin also convinced the victims to participate in sexually explicit activities using video chat, enabling him to capture screenshots and recordings, as per documents submitted in the federal court in Los Angeles.

Following the receipt of sexually explicit content from his victims, Mark David Wallin would solicit further sexually explicit photographs and videos from them.

In February and March of 2020, Mark David Wallin lured a victim, about 9-10 years old, to participate in sexually explicit conduct for presentation to him through Snapchat, a multimedia instant messaging program.

Mark David Wallin acknowledged intentionally inducing at least four additional victims, aged between 12 and 16 years, to generate or engage in the production of several files containing sexually explicit content of themselves.

Mark David Wallin additionally confessed to owning approximately 200 sexually filthy videos of youngsters on a smartphone in August 2021.

Mark David Wallin confronts a required minimum sentence of 15 years in federal prison, potentially extending to life imprisonment, as stated by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
