During a hearing at Preston Crown Court, the Grange Park Paedophile, Mark Barnfather of Marlhill Road, was sentenced to three years of imprisonment and is now subject to an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

Mark Barnfather is widely recognised for his prior employment at Blackpool Tower and Asda.

The Court considered the allegations against forty-seven-year-old Mark Barnfather:

  • Attempted to engage in sexual communication with a child on 23/02/2024
  • Attempted to cause/incite a girl 13 to 15 to engage in sexual activity on 02/03/2024
  • Attempted to meet a girl under 16 years of age following grooming on 02/03/2024
  • Arranged to meet and turned up to meet a child following sexual grooming after speaking extremely sexually to what he believed to be a 14-year-old child.
  • Sent explicit images of himself and multiple (explicit) pornographic videos.
  • Asked for indecent images.
  • Incited a child into a sexual activity with herself on many occasions.

Mark Barnfather, who had worked at Blackpool Tower and Asda, was exposed by a vigilante ‘paedo hunters’ swoop on Grange Park.
