A Paedophile from Calderdale, Malcolm Holland, has been sentenced to nearly 22 years in prison for sexually abusing three young girls.

Malcolm Holland, 66, of Carlton Street, Halifax, was charged with 14 counts of sexual offences against three minors, the youngest being seven years old.

Malcolm Holland was apprehended in April 2021 following the complaint of the initial victim.

Calderdale District Safeguarding Detectives subsequently initiated an inquiry, resulting in the identification of two additional victims linked to Malcolm Holland’s offences.

All three girls were aged between 7 and 14 during the abuse, which occurred from 2002 to 2021.

In November 2023, he was indicted on 14 charges, including indecent assault, six counts of sexual assault against a child under 13, five counts of inducing a child under 13 to participate in sexual behaviour, and two counts of attempted rape.

Malcolm Holland attended Bradford Crown Court on Monday, 9 June 2025, and after a seven-day trial, was unanimously convicted by a jury on all charges.

On Friday, 20th June, Malcolm Holland appeared before the court for sentencing and received a 21.5-year prison term, augmented by an additional two years on licence.

He will be mandated to register as a sex offender indefinitely and will be subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for the entirety of his life.
