Two Paedophiles from Calderdale and Halifax, Mahtab Islam and Arfan Mir, have been sentenced and incarcerated for the sexual exploitation of young English girls in Calderdale, increasing the total to 24 males imprisoned as a result of four investigations.

Legal constraints precluded us from disclosing the outcomes until this moment.

The convictions stem from a preliminary inquiry initiated in 2016 over allegations of child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSEA) involving two girls in Calderdale from 2006 to 2009, during which the victims were aged 13 to 16.

Mahtab Islam, 51, of Halifax, was convicted of five charges of rape, two acts of sexual assault, and one count of perverting the course of justice involving one of the two victims, receiving a sentence of 16 years. Subsequent to an appeal, Mahtab Islam’s sentence was augmented to a total of 18 years.

Arfan Mir, also referred to as Khalifa Mughal, 42, from Halifax, was convicted of rape and distribution of a Class A drug concerning one of the two victims, as well as perverting the course of justice in relation to the other. He received a sentence of 12 years. Subsequent to an appeal, Arfan Mir’s sentence was reduced to 10 years.

Authorities have not released any details of Mahtab Islam and Arfan Mir’s heritage as usual.
