A Cullingworth Paedophile school technician apprentice, Lewis Lawson-Brett, at St Bede’s and St Joseph’s Catholic College in Bradford, has received a 36-month community term for committing upskirting against adolescent girls and producing obscene images of minors in Bradford.
The Crown Prosecution Service charged Lewis Lawson-Brett, 22, with upskirting several adolescent girls at a school where he worked as an apprentice technician.
Lewis Lawson-Brett has entered a guilty plea at Bradford Crown Court for three counts of voyeurism and three counts of producing indecent pictures of minors, resulting in a 36-month community order term.
The victims were adolescent females at an educational institution in West Yorkshire, where Lewis Lawson-Brett was engaged in a technician apprenticeship program.
All incidents occurred on 24 May 2024. CCTV footage captured Lawson-Brett persistently approaching unsuspecting female students and surreptitiously photographing under their skirts.
Lewis Lawson-Brett of Church Street in Cullingworth was observed engaging in upskirting of three distinct female adolescent students and subsequently examining his phone.
The offender’s supervisor was requested to see the CCTV tape following concerns voiced by another staff member over his conduct.
Following the review of the film, Lewis Lawson-Brett was reported to law enforcement and apprehended that afternoon.
Throughout his interviews, Lewis Lawson-Brett failed to answer most questions, refusing to provide the password or explain what was contained in a secure folder on his phone.
After his questioning, the police downloaded Lewis Lawson-Brett’s phone and discovered several videos and images taken which confirmed the upskirting offences as well other examples of extreme pornography.
Chris Hartley of the CPS said: “Lewis Lawson-Brett targeted teenage girls, abusing his position of authority to take explicit photos of children. This was done without their knowledge for his own grotesque gratification.
“Lewis Lawson-Brett’s crimes are deeply serious, and I hope his sentence sends a stark warning that we will come down on anyone who seeks to harm children with the full force of the law.
“The CPS continues to work closely with the police in bringing sexual predators to justice and clamping down on upskirting and voyeuristic crimes.”
