In 2017, the Offender Database reported that Leslie Brindle, the Porthmadog Paedophile Child Molester, who blamed his epilepsy for some of his heinous crimes, was warned that he faces prison.

Leslie Brindle, aged 70, was today convicted of a series of sexual assaults on young females.

The jury deliberated for four hours before convicting Brindle on all 11 charges, which encompass three counts of enticing a girl under 13 to participate in sexual conduct and of indecently exposing himself to young girls.

Leslie Brindle, residing on Madog Street in Porthmadog, Gwynedd, Wales, had employed his epilepsy and consequent seizures as a rationale for his abhorrent offences.

At Caernarfon Crown Court, Judge Recorder Wyn Lloyd Jones cautioned the former baker that he is at risk of incarceration.

He secured bail for the offender until the sentencing hearing on October 20.

Leslie Brindle, consoled by his family after departing the dock, has been mandated to register as a sex offender.

The court stated: “There can be but one sentence for a series of grave offences against minors, and that will be incarceration.”

“I will grant you leniency and extend your bail to allow you to manage your affairs.”

“Do not be misled; you are facing incarceration.”

The week-long trial presented testimony from several of Brindle’s victims, who stated that he had exposed himself through open windows of his residence and engaged in sexual acts.

Certain offences occurred 30 years apart.

Prosecutors demonstrated that Brindle had deliberately exposed himself to girls by lowering his jogging bottoms and was apprehended for indecent exposure in 1970.

Following the recent claims submitted to the police this summer, a woman disclosed that she had also experienced abuse by Brindle in the late 1980s.

When questioned by the police over the charges, Brindle remarked, “They possess a remarkably vivid imagination,” dismissing the resemblance of the acts across an extensive time span as simply a coincidence.”

He asserted that he could not have perpetrated the offences due to his sexual problems.

UPDATE

Leslie Brindle, 70, of Madoc Street, Porthmadog, who blamed epilepsy for some of his crimes, was jailed for six and a half years.
