An Angus sex offender teenager, Lee Clark, confessed to engaging in sexual activity with a 13-year-old girl in his bedroom.
Lee Clark, 19, from Kirriemuir, was apprehended when the teenager disclosed the information to a friend, prompting police notification.
Lee Clark performed a sexual act on himself via webcam while engaging in an online game of Truth or Dare with a 14-year-old girl.
The 19-year-old confessed to the offences during his appearance at the High Court in Aberdeen yesterday.
Advocate depute Ashley Edwards stated that Lee Clark and the 14-year-old girl established contact over Facebook.
The duo subsequently initiated online talks via the MSN chat platform, and their exchanges became flirtatious while engaging in Truth or Dare.
Lee Clark found himself entirely unclothed when they engaged in the online game once more the subsequent evening.
He performed a sexual act on himself in bed while the webcam was activated.
The schoolgirl challenged him to replicate the action during a subsequent conversation on MSN, and he complied while wearing his shorts.
The teachers of the schoolgirls were then notified about the incident that occurred between February 1 and March 10, 2011, prompting the involvement of law enforcement.
The court was informed that Lee Clark confessed to investigators that he was aware the girl was either 13 or 14 years of age.
Lee Clark engaged in sexual relations with another schoolgirl a few weeks subsequently.
He scheduled a meeting with the 13-year-old girl at his residence via a sequence of text messages on June 12, 2011.
The girl subsequently disclosed that she perceived Lee Clark as excessively relentless in his repeated requests for sexual relations.
Ms. Edwards informed the court that she sensed an inevitable occurrence and believed nothing could prevent it, leading her to surrender.
Shortly after returning home, Lee Clark received a text message from the girl stating: I will not become pregnant, will I? He responded: No. Lee Clark was then apprehended and admonished, acknowledging his awareness that the child was below the age of 16.
He was originally charged with rape, but his guilty plea to a reduced charge of engaging in sexual intercourse with an older minor was accepted yesterday.
Defence attorney Matt Jackson stated that the Crown acknowledged the accused’s genuine belief in the existence of consent.
The sentence for Lee Clark was postponed until January 8, when the matter will be adjudicated at the High Court in Glasgow.
