A man apprehended on allegations of kidnapping a teenager has been granted bail.

Wiltshire Police detectives initiated an urgent missing persons appeal on Friday following the news of 14-year-old Leah Mullins’ disappearance.

She was saw entering a vehicle outside The Angel pub on Sherston High Street at approximately 7:30 PM.

She was then located safe and unharmed outside the county more than 48 hours later on the evening of Sunday, December 31.

Police had arrested a man in his 20s on suspicion of child abduction.

But on Tuesday morning, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police confirmed that man had been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.

Leah was found on the same evening that her mother Sarah publicly appealed to locate her daughter.

She said: “Leah is a 14-year-old, vulnerable girl who has been away from her family for nearly 48 hours. If anyone has any suspicions, please contact 999.

“Leah if you can see this, then please come home, or contact someone and let them know that you are safe and well.

“We miss you and love you so much. You are not in any trouble and we are extremely concerned about you.”
