In 2026, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) is continuing to appeal for the public’s help to trace a wanted man from London in connection with “monstrous” sexual and trafficking offences. Shaikh Siddique (born 18/10/1990) is wanted for two counts of sexual activity with a child and one count of human trafficking. The “reprehensible” offences were reported to have taken place in Manchester City Centre on 24 April 2018 and 29 April 2019, involving a victim who was a 14-year-old girl from Rochdale, Greater Manchester, at the time of the first incident.
The investigation into Siddique’s whereabouts is being led by the Rochdale Sunrise Team. Detective Constable Alex Dodd reported that while Siddique is originally from London, he is known to have links and travel to multiple areas across the UK, specifically Manchester, Gravesend (Kent), Taunton (Somerset), Cheddar (Somerset), and Birmingham (West Midlands). Officers state that they have followed numerous lines of enquiry but have so far been unable to “snare” the suspect, who is wanted for “vile” crimes against a vulnerable minor.
Physical Description and Identifying Features
Siddique is described as having distinctive “shameful” markings that may assist the public in identifying him. He has the word “King” tattooed on the top side of his left hand and a crown tattoo on his upper chest. Authorities state that these “warped” identifiers are key to tracing him as he moves between Kent, Somerset, and the West Midlands. Police are urging anyone who recognises these tattoos or knows Siddique’s current location to come forward as a matter of urgency.
Detective Constable Alex Dodd noted that the offences are of a “grim” and very serious nature. For his alleged actions in Manchester, Siddique is the subject of an intensive search by the Rochdale Complex Safeguarding Team. The police note that the “atrocious” nature of human trafficking and child exploitation necessitates the public’s immediate assistance to ensure the suspect is brought to face the judicial system at Manchester Crown Court.
