In 2019, the Offender Database reported that Kaziu Kedzior, then 56, of Netherhall, Leicester, was returned to prison for a series of serious sexual offences against a child. Kedzior, who had been living in Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, was convicted at Leicester Crown Court following a trial. The investigation by Leicestershire Police revealed that Kedzior was a repeat predator, having previously been jailed in 1991 for the sexual assault of a six-year-old boy and a ten-year-old girl.

The court heard that the most recent offences involved the abuse of another young boy aged under 13. Kedzior was re-arrested in 2016 after these allegations were reported. Despite his history of offending, Kedzior continued to target vulnerable children. The prosecution emphasised the predatory nature of his actions, which spanned several decades and caused significant harm to multiple victims.

During sentencing, the judge stated that Kedzior would receive multiple prison terms: an eight-year sentence, two concurrent five-year sentences, and three concurrent eight-year sentences. While the individual terms totalled 21 years, the concurrent nature of the sentencing means Kedzior was jailed for a total of eight years. The judge emphasised that this significant custodial period was necessary to reflect the gravity of his repeat offending.

As a result of his convictions for indecent assault on a child, Kaziu Kedzior was ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register indefinitely. He was also handed a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO), which prohibits him from any unsupervised contact with any child under the age of 16. He is managed under Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) by Leicestershire Police, ensuring his behaviour in Leicester, Sutton-in-Ashfield, and across the East Midlands is strictly monitored. Any attempt to breach his SHPO will result in his immediate arrest and return to prison.
