A Cottenham Paedophile couple, Karl Robinson and Sophie Eason Edge, from Cambridgeshire who perpetrated sexual assaults against a child have been sentenced to imprisonment for their offences.
Karl Robinson, 29 years old, was apprehended for producing obscene photos of minors after the National Crime Agency (NCA) received a notification regarding the online dissemination of such images by authorities in New Zealand.
Subsequent to his arrest on September 22, a search of his gadgets revealed a video of Sophie Eason Edge, 28 years old, perpetrating child abuse.
Karl Robinson and Sophie Eason Edge were apprehended once more, and Robinson was discovered to possess 537 obscene photographs of minors on his electronic devices.
On Friday (September) 27, at Cambridge Crown Court, Karl Robinson, of Calvin Close, Cottenham, South Cambridgeshire, was jailed for nine years, having pleaded guilty to five counts of making indecent images of children and two counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
Karl Robinson will serve a further six years on extended licence and was given a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for 20 years.
Sophie Eason Edge, also of Calvin Close, Cottenham, was jailed for four years, having pleaded guilty to sexual assault of a child under 13 and making indecent images of children.
Sophie Eason Edge will have to serve six years on extended licence and was also handed a 20-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
Detective Inspector George Neal, of Cambridgeshire Police said: “This was an horrific case which has ended in long sentences, custodial and then on licence, for both Karl Robinson and Sophie Eason Edge. I am pleased it has been recognised how dangerous these two are, and that they can no longer inflict that harm on others”.
