Middlesbrough Rapist, Junior Bryan, 63, faced allegations of many acts against eight women over a two-decade period of intimidation.

Jurors found Junior Bryan guilty of 20 charges, including rape, attempted rape, indecent assault, false imprisonment, profiting from prostitution, violence, and selling heroin from 1993 to 2013.

Junior Bryan admitted guilt to three further offences during the trial and was acquitted on nine charges.

Junior Bryan was convicted of at least one charge against every victim whose lives were devastated by the depraved pimp’s actions.

The predator targeted young and vulnerable people to exploit and abuse as he hung around teenage girls on Teesside in his 30s and 40s.

Junior Bryan got girls addicted to drugs and forced them into prostitution to live off their earnings, sneaking heroin into a cannabis joint to make one girl dependent on him.

Junior Bryan subjected one vulnerable teenager to a terrifying string of ordeals, including repeated rapes.

He hit her feet and legs with a hammer, drove her down a dirt track, pushed her head under water and made her start to dig her own grave.

Junior Bryan beat another victim after she refused to work as a prostitute.

Many were too frightened or traumatised to report him at the time – but gave evidence as he stood trial.

“He’s probably the most dangerous person that I have had involvement with,” said senior investigating officer Mick Hunt from Cleveland Police.
