31-year-old Joshua Ashby, the Rugby Paedophile, received a sentence of 10 years and 8 months in prison at Warwick Crown Court.
Joshua Ashby admitted guilt to violating a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO), two counts of inciting minors to participate in and observe sexual behaviour, attempting to engage in sexual communication with an individual under 16, and failing to adhere to his sex offender registry obligations.
After serving an 18-month sentence and two orders issued in October 2015, Joshua Ashby was incarcerated for 25 months in February 2019 for pleading guilty to violating his Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and failing to adhere to his sex offender registration requirements.
Joshua Ashby, classified as a high-risk sex offender, has been supervised by our Sex Offender Management Unit (SOMU) in the northern region of the county since that time. He has undergone rigorous offender management, which enabled the unit to charge and detain Joshua Ashby in custody last year for violating his order by communicating with a 13-year-old child.
Joshua Ashby entered a guilty plea to this accusation and was thereafter sentenced on all charges.
