Joseph Taylor exploited his victim while she was asleep and targeted her at her most vulnerable, the court was informed. He perpetrated the acts at the age of 17 to 18, according to Cheshire Live.
The police have praised the victim for her courage in reporting the historical sexual crimes. Joseph Taylor, residing on Solvay Road in Northwich, Cheshire, entered a guilty plea to two charges of rape and two charges of sexual assault.
On Thursday, August 11, at Chester Crown Court, he received a sentence of six years and nine months in prison. Detective Constable Joe Duckworth stated, “Firstly, I wish to commend the victim for her bravery demonstrated throughout this investigation.”
Joseph Taylor deliberately picked the victim during her most vulnerable moment and intentionally used her as she slept to evade consequences.
