A Paedophile from Salisbury, Joseph Marriott, has been incarcerated for sexually assaulting a five-year-old girl at the retail establishment where he was employed.
Joseph Marriott, 33, of St Andrew’s Road, Salisbury, was sentenced at Swindon Crown Court yesterday (04/09) after being found guilty of two counts of inducing or persuading a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity.
The court was informed that Joseph Marriott enticed the little girl into the back area of the Salisbury store where he worked and sexually assaulted her while her parents were shopping.
The 33-year-old lowered his trousers and compelled the girl to touch his penis.
Joseph Marriott had already acknowledged violating his Sexual Harm Prevention Order stemming from a prior sexual crime in 2019.
His Honour Jason Taylor KC sentenced Joseph Marriott to 10 years of incarceration, consisting of 4 years and 6 months of imprisonment and 5 years and 6 months on licence.
Joseph Marriott is required to comply with the stipulations of an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order and to register with the police indefinitely.
Additionally, he is required to pay a £228 surcharge.
