On Friday, 9 January 2026, the Offender Database reported that Jordan Gouldmartin, 31, of Ludlow Drive, Leigh, was sentenced to five years in prison at Manchester Crown Square Court. Gouldmartin was found guilty by a jury of the sexual assault of a boy under the age of 13.
The court heard that Gouldmartin targeted the young victim in an incident described by police as “horrific.” Detective Constable Jennifer Bradley praised the boy’s courage for coming forward, stating that his strength was instrumental in securing justice. Following the guilty verdict on Thursday, 8 January 2026, the judge highlighted the gravity of the offence and the necessity of long-term safeguarding measures to protect the public from Gouldmartin’s predatory behaviour.
Jordan Gouldmartin was sentenced to five years’ imprisonment. Upon his release, he will be subject to a five-year extended licence period, meaning he will remain under strict supervision for a total of ten years. The court also imposed a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and a lifetime restraining order to ensure the victim is permanently protected from any further contact.
As a result of his conviction for the sexual assault of a child, Gouldmartin has been placed on the Sex Offenders Register for life. He is managed under the highest level of Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) in the Greater Manchester and Wigan areas. This framework ensures that Greater Manchester Police and the National Probation Service maintain intensive surveillance of his residency, digital activities, and movements to prevent any further risk to children.
