A Worthing paedophile, Jonathan Paige, who exploited the social networking platform Facebook to prey on underage girls has been incarcerated.

Jonathan Paige, 31, from Worthing, Sussex, impersonated an 11-year-old girl to solicit explicit sexual enquiries from a 12-year-old, as shown before Chichester Crown Court.

He previously acknowledged accusations of grooming, enticing a minor to participate in sexual behaviour, and possessing over 450 obscene photos of minors.

Jonathan Paige, residing on Shelley Road, was sentenced to four years and eight months in prison back in 2010. Where is he now?

Sussex Police stated that he was apprehended following the mother’s report on her apprehensions about “suspicious online activity” involving her 12-year-old daughter.

Officers reported that Jonathan Paige, impersonating an 11-year-old, engaged his victim on three separate occasions to enquire about sexually explicit matters concerning herself.

Detective Sergeant Simon Dunn stated: “Jonathan Paige is a predatory paedophile who exploited the internet and other platforms to target vulnerable young girls, attempting to manipulate them into meeting with him.”

“In certain instances, Jonathan Paige claimed to be an 11-year-old girl; this conduct exemplifies some of the most perilous behaviour conceivable.”

I extend my gratitude to those members of the public who contributed to our study.

“Without the vigilance of the parents and their children, Jonathan Paige’s misconduct may not have been revealed as promptly.”

The individual stated that at the peak of his misconduct, he was communicating with over 50 young girls through Facebook and MSN.
