A Rapist from Dewsbury, Jonathan Ellis, has received a sentence of 16 years after being convicted of rape and several other grave offences.
Jonathan Ellis (30), of no fixed abode, was sentenced to a cumulative term of 16 years and six months at Leeds Crown Court on Monday, 28 July, for a series of offences committed in the Kirklees area during an eight-year span.
Detectives investigating the case have characterised him as a threat to women and expressed approval of the sentence.
The 30-year-old, Jonathan Ellis, received a jail sentence of 13 and a half years, along with an additional 3 years on an extended licence due to the risk he was deemed to constitute by the court.
A jury convicted him of rape, sexual assault, section 20 assault, coercive and controlling behaviour, making threats to murder, and criminal damage.
Jonathan Ellis’ offences occurred between 2016 and September 2024.
