The Offender Database reported that Jonathan Dixon, a Chirnside Animal Abuser, a well-known Nonce and callous pet owner, abandoned his malnourished and neglected bulldog, leaving it ‘cowering’ in dread after subjecting it to numerous kicks and assaults.

Law enforcement responded to Jonathan Dixon’s residence in Cramlington following reports from neighbours of a dog “screaming and yelping,” yet he insolently closed the door in their faces.

After being convinced to permit their entry, detectives discovered his pet Mabel, who was emaciated with visible rib protrusion and exhibited scratches and wounds on her face, as presented in court.

While the constables were present at his residence, Jonathan Dixon confessed to having kicked Mabel, who recoiled whenever a constable approached her, because she had “defecated on the kitchen floor,” according to prosecutors.

The 43-year-old’s confession resulted in his appearance at South East Northumberland Magistrates’ Court this week, where he entered a guilty plea to a single charge of inflicting needless suffering on an animal.

Prosecutor Jade Houston stated that law enforcement visited Jonathan Dixon’s residence on October 18, 2022.

Miss Houston stated, “They responded to reports of a dog howling and yelping inside the premises.” The defendant opened the door, revealing a little bulldog positioned behind him.

The authorities stated they were required to perform an animal welfare inspection, and the defendant closed the door in their faces.

The defendant was informed that the authorities might enter the property regardless, and he subsequently permitted them entry. Inside was a bulldog named Mabel, who was emaciated with visible ribs.

The defendant asserted that he had kicked her because she defecated on the kitchen floor, and she had scratches on her head. When cops attempted to approach her, she recoiled and shrank back.

The court was informed that Mabel was abducted and Jonathan Dixon, from Chirnside in Cramlington, Berwickshire, was apprehended.

Nigel Hedley, in defence, stated that Jonathan Dixon had entered a guilty plea and was employed full-time, earning £2,200 monthly.

Mr Hedley stated, “The dog has been removed from his possession, thus he no longer has it.”
