Johnathan Sutton, a Walsall rapist from the West Midlands has been sentenced to imprisonment after being convicted of two counts of rape perpetrated in Neath Port Talbot.

Johnathan Sutton, a 35-year-old resident of Walsall, entered a plea of not guilty to the charges, which occurred between June and August 2021 in Cwmafan, at a location where Sutton was residing at that time.

He was convicted at Swansea Crown Court and has received his sentence this week.

Johnathan Sutton has received an additional 18-year term for two charges of rape involving two distinct women.

Detective Constable Gary Willis-Hill stated:

“Johnathan Sutton was evidently a perilous individual who exploited victims when he perceived himself to be in a position of dominance over them.”

“By entering a plea of not guilty to these offences, he has demonstrated a lack of remorse for his actions and the consequences they have inflicted on the lives and well-being of his victims.”

“Johnathan Sutton will now be incarcerated for an extended duration.”
