On 3 September 2025, in Lewes Crown Court, he was convicted of nine charges of sexual conduct with a minor and two counts of causing or inciting a minor to engage in sexual activity.
He was acquitted of four charges of sexual conduct with a minor.
John Simpson received a sentence of 9 years and 6 months in jail, will be classified as a registered sex offender for life, and was issued an indefinite restraining order against the victim.
