In 2018, the Offender Database reported that John Francis, the March and Prestatyn Paedophile Child Rapist, who sexually assaulted a young child for seven years, was sentenced to eight years in prison.
John Francis, previously residing on Norwood Road in March and currently on Stephen Road in Prestatyn, Wales, perpetrated abuse against the girl from 2008 to 2015, during which she was aged six to thirteen.
A court was informed that John Francis, then 76, instructed his victim to remain silent about the abuse, threatening imprisonment for himself and harm to those around her if she disclosed the information.
He also confessed during a police interrogation that he had “struggled to resist his sexual transgressions” following the abuse of the girl.
The woman, who endured repeated assault, disclosed the incidents only in recent years during a consultation with her general practitioner.
During a police interview, John Francis confessed to the charges and told officers that he had grappled with resisting his ‘sexual transgressions.’
At Cambridge Crown Court, John Francis earlier admitted guilt to two counts of exposure, one count of assault by penetration of a minor, and two counts of sexual assault on a minor, all pertaining to a child under the age of 13.
He was sentenced at the same court on Thursday (November 9), receiving a total of eight years in prison.
John Francis was subjected to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) for a duration of 10 years and placed on the Sex Offenders Register for life.
The SHPO prohibits John Francis from communicating with the victim or her relatives.
It additionally forbids him from engaging in any unsupervised interactions with anyone under 16 and from participating in any voluntary or compensated activities involving persons under 18.
