An octogenarian Milton paedophile, John Bleasdale, has been incarcerated following his conviction for the sexual abuse of a minor over thirty years prior.
John Bleasdale was reported to law enforcement two years prior for the abuse of a girl during the 1990s.
Throughout the inquiry, the victim disclosed a series of assaults perpetrated by John Bleasdale, who had been entrusted with her care at a familial residence in Bulwell.
The victim provided a persuasive account of the abuse, which commenced when she was too young to comprehend the situation.
John Bleasdale, 82, of Paskeston Lane, Milton, Pembrokeshire, refuted all claims but was convicted by a jury at Nottingham Crown Court of two charges of indecent assault on a girl under 16, occurring between 1991 and 1998.
On Thursday, July 24, he was sentenced to four years in prison at Nottingham Crown Court. John Bleasdale was additionally issued a lifelong restraining order and a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, which forbids him from residing with females under the age of 16.
