John Andow, Bures Paedophile, was incarcerated following his conviction for the sexual assault of two adolescent females, but now he is out and about in your community.
Chelmsford Crown Court heard that John Andow, 78, was well aware of his actions when his physical interactions with his two child victims became sexual in nature.
The sex offender, John Andow, rejected seven charges of sexual activity with a minor but was convicted of two counts during a trial last month.
John Andow, residing on Normandie Way, Bures, was acquitted of five charges and exonerated of an additional charge of inducing a child to observe a sexual act.
During the sentencing hearing, statements were presented that articulated the trauma experienced by John Andow’s two victims.
One victim stated that the offence had impaired her communication skills and her interpersonal ties.
It has impacted everything, she stated. The girl stated that she experiences insomnia and, following the assault, is unable to tolerate physical contact.
The second victim stated: In my mind, it was tumultuous. I felt utterly isolated, as no one comprehended my emotions or experiences.
Judge Timothy Walker stated that each crime involved the tactile contact with two girls beneath their garments.
He stated: You would initiate the massage and gradually ascend. The massages ranged from 10 to 20 minutes in duration.
Addressing one victim, he stated: You advised her to refrain from any actions she did not desire, and if she felt uneasy, she could employ the safe word ‘chocolate.’ You were well aware of your actions.
He stated: You acknowledged in evidence that you had massaged both girls and conceded the area of their sternums, while you refuted touching their breasts.
Predictably, your credibility was questioned. Roderick Johnson QC, in mitigation, characterised the offences as fleeting temptation.
He stated that the temptation emerged, causing Mr John Andow to temporarily deviate from his moral compass, which had consistently guided him throughout his life.
Mr Johnson stated that the victim impact comments should be moderated, given that the jury dismissed the majority of the claims presented.
Judge Walker stated that John Andow had perpetrated two sexual attacks on susceptible girls.
John Andow was sentenced to 30 months in prison and subjected to a ten-year sexual harm prevention order, which prohibits unsupervised contact with youngsters.
