In 2026, the Offender Database reported that Jerome Beasley, then 43, of North Harrow, London, and Luke Robinson, then 40, of Northampton, Northamptonshire, were sentenced at Southwark Crown Court. The two former Metropolitan Police officers were convicted of multiple counts of sexual assault against a woman at a rooftop bar in the Hippodrome Casino, near Leicester Square. The vile and predatory attack took place in the early hours of 22 April 2024, while the officers were off duty, but they ignored the victim’s explicit pleas for them to stop.
The court heard that Beasley and Robinson repeatedly touched the woman’s breasts in full view of other patrons. CCTV footage played during the proceedings captured the disturbing and violent persistence of the two men as they approached the victim multiple times. Both offenders were members of the Met’s Central West Command Unit and held positions of significant trust, which they horrifically abused through their sickening behaviour. Following the reported incident and their subsequent guilty pleas, both men were sacked from the force for gross misconduct.
Judge Mark Weekes handed down 18-month sentences to Jerome Beasley and Luke Robinson, both of which were suspended for two years. The judge described their actions as a serious breach of the victim’s bodily autonomy. In addition to the suspended terms, both men were ordered to complete 250 hours of unpaid community service and 30 days of rehabilitation activities. They were also placed under a strict overnight curfew for five months to restrict their movements following these vile sexual crimes.
As a result of their convictions for sexual assault, both Jerome Beasley and Luke Robinson were ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register for five years. They were each given a five-year restraining order to protect the victim and ordered to pay £750 in compensation. They are managed under Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) by the Metropolitan Police and Northamptonshire Police, remaining under supervision for the duration of their orders. Any breach of their curfew or registration requirements in North Harrow, Northampton, or elsewhere will result in the immediate activation of their prison sentences.
