The Greenfield Pedophile, Jericho Johnson, who confessed to authorities his desire to “experiment with children” has been found guilty of assaulting multiple minors during a four-day trial in Hancock County. Jericho Johnson collaborated with both the YMCA and Shining Stars Academy before he was discovered last year.
Jericho Johnson’s conviction follows a report from a kid at Shining Stars, following which 10 additional children emerged to allege that Johnson had also abused them.
“What started as a case with two victims quickly snowballed into more than 10 victims and families needing assistance and services. A trial of this magnitude required intense teamwork and an extremely coordinated effort with our victims and their families, our partner agencies, and the trial team,” said Chief Deputy Prosecutor Aimee Herring.
In the case of Shining Stars, the parents of the child who came forward there turned Jericho Johnson in to the owner, Kelly Basey, who never reported the abuse. She was charged with failure to report. She was acquitted.
Jericho Johnson kept working with children until two victims at the YMCA turned him in.
“I am in awe of the brave and courageous children that took the stand one after another. They showed the Court and the Defendant just how strong they are and that no matter what the Defendant did to them, the kids would not be silenced,” said Herring.
Jericho Johnson is set to be sentenced July 18.
