In 2023, the Offender Database reported that Jason Prior, the Trowbridge Sex Offender, received a 30-month prison sentence for sexually abusing two women.
Jason Prior, then 38, from Trowbridge, appeared at Swindon Crown Court on Friday (01/09) following his conviction for two charges of sexual assault, two counts of assault by beating, and one act of criminal damage across three distinct instances.
On the evening of November 5 to November 6 of the previous year, the court was informed that Jason Prior sexually attacked the woman and subsequently prevented her from leaving, exhibiting violent behaviour towards her.
Subsequent to the victim’s successful departure from the premises, Jason Prior pursued her and perpetrated an assault on the street.
On August 17 of the previous year, Jason Prior assaulted the victim by punching a hole in the victim’s wall during an altercation.
Jason Prior was additionally convicted of sexually assaulting another victim after an incident at the Shires Shopping Centre in Trowbridge on May 9 of this year.
During a hearing on Friday, he was sentenced to 2.5 years of incarceration. He received a five-year restraining order, was mandated to pay a £187 victim penalty, and must register indefinitely on the Sex Offenders’ Register.
