Jason Cowie, a then 45-year-old resident of Clacton in Essex, residing on Oxford Crescent, was sentenced at Basildon Crown Court on Friday, November 9, after being found guilty of inciting a girl under the age of 13 to engage in sexual conduct without penetration.
Jason Cowie was convicted of five counts of producing indecent photographs of minors and one count of disseminating analogous images after more than 150 indecent images of youngsters were discovered on his computer and hard drive.
He was additionally registered as a lifelong sex offender and issued a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
On March 17, 2017, officers from the Essex Police Online Investigation Team (POLIT) conducted a search at Jason Cowie’s residence based on intelligence indicating that he had accessed obscene photographs of minors.
