The Offender Database reported that Jan Jahanzeb and Israr Niazal, the Paedophile Afghan asylum seeker rapists, have been incarcerated after confessing to the horrific rape of a young English teenager in a park in Leamington.
On 10 May, a young girl and a group of friends encountered and engaged in conversation with two boys in the town.
Jan Jahanzeb and Israr Niazal thereafter invited the girl to accompany them on a stroll, during which they proceeded to sexually assault her at Newbold Comyn.
After being raped, the girl successfully signalled a bystander who contacted the police.
Through the integration of CCTV footage and photographs captured by the girl on her phone throughout the day, we promptly identified and apprehended Jan Jahanzeb and Israr Niazal.
The two men were charged with rape and appeared in youth court in Coventry, where they confessed to the offence.
During today’s sentencing at Warwick Crown Court, the judge rescinded reporting restrictions that had previously concealed the identities of Jan Jahanzeb and Israr Niazal due to their age and nationality.
The court also confirmed that they were Afghan asylum seekers.
Jan Jahanzeb received a sentence of ten years and eight months, and Israr Niazal was sentenced to nine years and ten months.
Jan Jahanzeb and Israr Niazal were mandated to register on the Sex Offenders’ Register for life and were issued an indefinite restraining order.
Their application for asylum has not been affected and will be processed in accordance with normal procedures.
