The Norwich Rapist, Jamie Kadolski, characterised as ‘predatory’ for raping and sexually assaulting women he encountered on a dating app has been sentenced to 12 years in prison today (Thursday, April 24).
Jamie Kadolski, 24, of Ladysmith Road, Norwich, was sentenced at Norwich Crown Court after being convicted in November 2024 of three charges of rape, three sexual offences against one woman, and a total of three sexual offences against two more women.
Jamie Kadolski received a sentence of 12 years of imprisonment and a further three years on extended licence.
Jamie Kadolski first attracted police attention in January 2023 when a woman, who had seen him on a dating application, reported a sexual assault. He was apprehended, interrogated, and subsequently released on bail pending additional investigations. In September 2023, two additional women reported to the police that they had also been assaulted by him.
Jamie Kadolski was indicted in April 2024 and detained in jail pending his trial.
The court was informed that some victims alleged Kadolski donned an emergency service outfit to establish trust prior to assaulting them. Jamie Kadolski had once served as an ambulance call handler and a hospital healthcare assistant, retaining uniforms and identification cards linked to both positions despite lacking authorisation to do so. Upon authorities’ arrival at Jamie Kadolski’s residence following his arrest, they discovered a collection of uniforms and medical apparatus that he was unauthorised to possess or utilise.
Jamie Kadolski was not a paramedic; rather, he shared a photograph on social media depicting himself adorned in paramedic epaulettes. He had previously served as a first aider at private occasions and altered the green suit to resemble that of a paramedic. The court was informed that he employed stickers on his ID card to conceal the subordinate positions he had occupied in healthcare environments
In statements read out in court his victims told of the impact Jamie Kadolski’s attacks had had on them.
One woman said: “Almost every night I have these nightmares that Jamie’s got into my house and comes into my room and rapes me over and over then I wake up, having just relived all of it again, and then have to go about my day as normal.
“I used to go out almost every weekend and had a very vibrant social life, now I’m lucky if I see my friends once through the month because I just do not feel comfortable outside my own house.”
Another woman told how the attack affected a recent hospital admission. She said : “I demanded to leave because I was so triggered by the healthcare workers.
“Every worker had Jamie’s face and every footstep was his. I am a wreck and a shell of who I once was.
“Wherever I go, I look for the exit and stay as close to it as possible. I have forgotten what it feels like to be safe”
Detective Constable Claire Floyd, who led the investigation, described Jamie Kadolski as “predatory and remorseless” and paid tribute to his victims for coming forward.
She said: “The incredible strength and courage these women have shown throughout the investigation and criminal justice process cannot be overstated.
“All have suffered truly traumatic ordeals at Jamie Kadolski’s hands. It is thanks to them that he is now behind bars and no longer able to cause harm to anyone else.
“Although no sentence can ever make up for what happened to these women, I hope today’s result can give them some sense of comfort that this dangerous and manipulative sexual predator will be in prison for a significant period of time.”
Jamie Kadolski was also handed an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order and indefinite Restraining Order and will have to sign the Sex Offenders’ Register for life.
