A paedophile from Cornwall, James Kelvin, has confessed to producing hundreds of indecent photos of minors, including numerous images of the most severe category, over a span of two years.
James Kelvin is currently with the prospect of incarceration subsequent to his appearance at Bristol Crown Court today (Monday, June 23).
James Kelvin, from Goldsithney, located between Penzance and Helston, was living in Bristol at the time he perpetrated the acts.
Judge James Patrick was apprised that from November 15, 2019, to October 8, 2021, Kelvin had generated 640 indecent images of children classified as ‘Category C’, an additional 46 images categorised as ‘Category B’, and 37 images considered the most severe, ‘Category A’, which encompassed two video clips.
During a prior appearance at Bristol Magistrates’ Court in May, James Kelvin admitted guilt to supplementary charges, including the fabrication of pseudo-photographs constituting indecent images of minors and an additional charge of voyeurism.
The judge granted conditional bail to James Kelvin, 51, originally from Bishop’s Stortford, after ordering the preparation of a pre-sentence report.
James Kelvin was directed to assist in the production of the pre-sentence report and warned that upon his return for sentencing on August 21, he may confront a prison sentence.
