James Bodenham, the Paedophile Child Molester, previously sentenced to eight-and-a-half years for child rape, is incarcerated once more for neglecting to register on the sex offenders list.
In March 2014, James Bodenham, aged 26, raped an 11-year-old girl whom he had met in Addiscombe.
On March 1, the victim’s parents notified the police when she failed to return from a visit to a relative.
She returned home in panic shortly thereafter and informed investigators that she had been sexually raped by a man she encountered earlier that day.
Detectives located a man on CCTV tape who matched the girl’s description and disseminated the image around area cops, one of whom remembered James Bodenham as a cyclist he had previously stopped weeks prior.
James Bodenham was apprehended on March 19 at his residence, where law enforcement confiscated garments corresponding to those worn by the assailant of the girl.
After the processing of DNA samples, he was indicted on two charges of rape.
He admitted guilt to one charge, while the other was recorded as a lie, resulting in an eight-and-a-half-year incarceration at the Old Bailey.
James Bodenham, aged 36, was freed from incarceration on March 1, 2023, after completing his whole term.
However, he neglected to report to a police station to register as a sex offender within three days of his release.
On November 8, James Bodenham was apprehended with cannabis in Lambeth.
On November 9, he appeared at Croydon Magistrates’ Court, where he admitted to violating sex offender registration requirements and possessing a Class B narcotic.
James Bodenham was scheduled for sentencing at Inner London Crown Court on Tuesday, November 28.
However, an HMP Thameside officer stated he was unable to attend court due to having “ingested a suspected drug parcel.”
The sentencing has been postponed until mid-December.
