On Thursday, 18 September 2025, a 22-year-old Edinburgh and Aberdeen Paedophile, Jack Reid, was sentenced to nine years and six months of incarceration for sexual offences at the High Court in Edinburgh.
On Tuesday, 12 August 2025, Jack Reid was found guilty of acts committed between 2017 and 2022 in Edinburgh and Aberdeen, involving one male, one woman, and two children.
Detective Constable Sara Duncan stated, “It is challenging to grasp the anguish and torment Reid inflicted upon those connected to this case.” I trust that today’s sentencing provides them with a measure of closure.
“Jack Reid will now confront the repercussions of his actions in prison.
If somebody is currently experiencing or has previously encountered any form of violence or sexual abuse, we have detectives specifically assigned to investigate these offences. Kindly report the matter, and rest assured that you will receive comprehensive support and attention.
Police Scotland did not release Jack Reid’s image or where he lived, so he will be able to continue offending with anonymity when he gets out.
