An internet Meopham Paedophile child groomer, Jack Davey, who coerced several young girls into transmitting filthy photographs and videos has been sentenced to imprisonment.

Jack Davey, 21, from Meopham, falsified his age and engaged with victims to perpetrate sexual abuse. He also persuaded the females to engage in sexual actions during video calls, which he videotaped without their consent.

On Friday, May 9, 2025, Jack Davey was sentenced to three years and four months of jail at Maidstone Crown Court after pleading guilty to over 30 distinct charges. These offences encompassed enticing a minor to participate in sexual acts, encountering a minor after sexual grooming, possessing indecent photos of minors, and threatening to reveal private sexual images with the goal to inflict emotional distress.

He must serve a minimum of two-thirds of his sentence prior to becoming eligible for parole and will undergo an extra two years on licence as stipulated by the provisions of an extended sentence. Jack Davey was additionally subjected to a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and will be on the sex offender register for life.

Kent Police apprehended Jack Davey at his residence on Harvel Road in May 2022, following reports that he had groomed a 13-year-old girl he encountered online. At the age of 17, Jack Davey feigned a lower age to engage in sexual contacts with the girl and to coordinate a meeting with her.

Subsequent to his arrest, at which time he had reached the age of 18, the authorities were informed of analogous indecent interactions involving Jack Davey and two more females from different regions of Kent.

A review of the offender’s internet devices revealed that he had been messaging a large number of girls across various platforms in Kent and elsewhere in the country, and saving images and videos of them that were of a sexual nature.

Jack Davey’s sentencing also includes further crimes committed between November 2023 and January 2024 of grooming a 14-year-old girl and multiple breaches of a previous SHPO.

Detective Constable Mel Ling and Detective Constable Hayley Hudson-Gool of Kent Police were the investigating officers who helped bring Jack Davey to justice.

DC Ling said:

‘I would like to commend the bravery of the victims within this case who spoke openly to me about their contact with Jack Davey and provided vital evidence that ultimately led to the serious charges against him.

‘His actions towards them including threatening to share their images, which he himself had incited them to send, has had a damaging impact on their confidence and ability to trust other people.

‘If any other young person finds themselves in a similar situation to Jack Davey’s victims, I would encourage them to speak to someone they trust such as a friend, family member or teacher for support in reporting this to the police. Please do not delete any communication as this could be used as evidence and assist in identifying the person responsible.’
