A Gillingham Paedophile and Medway sex offender, Ian Collard, convicted of violating the conditions of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO), has been sentenced to imprisonment.

Ian Collard, previously residing on Station Road in Gillingham, illicitly downloaded prohibited applications and established online dating profiles in violation of restrictions imposed upon him.

During a routine inspection by Kent Police officers, Ian Collard was discovered to be in violation of the court order. An analysis of his mobile phone revealed illicit behaviour, including the download of Snapchat and the use of multiple identities for numerous dating app profiles.

Ian Collard was apprehended on 17 May 2024 and concurrently charged with seven violations of the SHPO and three infringements of the Sex Offenders’ Notification Requirements.

He entered a guilty plea and was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment on Friday, 14 March 2025, at Maidstone Crown Court.
