Investigations into the Huddersfield Murder and Rape are proceeding this evening following the demise of a 13-year-old girl in Huddersfield.
At 11:36 PM on Monday, August 11, the ambulance service alerted West Yorkshire Police to an address on Sheepridge Road, Huddersfield, regarding a complaint of an unconscious young girl.
The 13-year-old was sent to the hospital, where she unfortunately succumbed in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
A 16-year-old male from Huddersfield, detained on suspicion of murder and rape, remains in police custody. He is well known to West Yorkshire Police.
A postmortem examination was performed yesterday (13 August), concluding that the girl’s death remains unexplained pending further inquiry.
The teenager was additionally apprehended on suspicion of another rape offence involving a 16-year-old girl from a distinct occurrence in Kirklees. No doubt West Yorkshire Police will not be releasing the image or name of the “boy”.
