A registered Chatham Paedophile sex offender from Medway, Haydon Sheard, who violated several court terms, has been incarcerated.

In 2018, Haydon Sheard was found guilty of possessing and disseminating obscene pictures of minors.

His conviction resulted in his inclusion on the sex offenders register and mandated adherence to the stipulations of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).

One requirement mandated that Haydon Sheard inform Kent Police of any internet-enabled devices in his possession for the installation of monitoring software.

On 25 April 2025, two officers conducted an unannounced visit to his residence and found him in a bedroom with a mobile phone. His behaviour appeared dubious, and upon inspection of the phone, an inappropriate video of a minor was discovered.

Haydon Sheard was apprehended, and officers conducted a check of his room for any undisclosed devices.

Despite his denial, investigators discovered an e-reader and a memory card that violated his SHPO, as well as two bank cards he had failed to report to the police.

Subsequent examination of his phone revealed the presence of 355 illicit photographs of minors, five of which were classified as the most severe category.

Haydon Sheard, residing on Sundridge Drive, Chatham, was charged and entered a guilty plea at Maidstone Crown Court for three counts of possessing indecent photographs of minors, five counts of violating his Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO), and one count of contravening his sex offender notification obligations.

On Friday, August 29, Haydon Sheard, 27, was sentenced to two years and four months in prison. His Sexual Harm Prevention Order was extended for an additional ten years.
