At his Bexhill flat, 62-year-old Glenn Trevor Williams sexually abused and raped a vulnerable 17-year-old girl before snapping an obscene picture of her. Glenn Trevor Williams had been in Warrior Square, St Leonards, in July 2018 when he noticed the girl and her then-boyfriend looking upset.

Seizing their vulnerability, he invited them back to his flat to assist in their job and lodging search.

Then he worked them with alcohol and attacked the girl while she tried to sleep.

The pair claimed they thought the booze had been laced with a narcotic, which rapidly sent them asleep.

“Glenn Trevor Williams has many past convictions for theft and violence, including two for sexual offences involving children,” East Sussex Safeguarding Investigations Unit detective Constable Liz Brunt said.

“He had been found guilty of trying to have sex with a six-month-old infant, for which he spent ONLY six months in prison.

“2018 saw his conviction for encouraging a female kid under sixteen to have sex.

“For this, he was sentenced to a four-year jail sentence.

“It is clear that Glenn Trevor Williams is a manipulative and opportunistic predator, and the fact that he is now behind bars is in no little part due to the evidence the couple gave against him.”

Unemployed Glenn Trevor Williams received a 15-year sentence; the first ten years will be spent in jail, and the other five will be spent on extended prison licence supervision.

Glenn Trevor Williams will be a registered sex offender for life and receive a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO), severely limiting his access to youngsters to last indefinitely.
