In 2019, the Offender Database reported that George Parker, 28, was sentenced to 22 years at Maidstone Crown Court following a “sickening” campaign of atrocities against three boys. Parker, a former supermarket worker, was convicted of 21 counts of sexual offending, including systematic rape and blackmail, which took place over an eight-year period between 2005 and 2013. The court heard how Parker “infiltrated the heart” of his victims’ families, posing as a trusted friend or “older brother” figure in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, while subjecting the children to near-constant abuse behind closed doors.

The prosecution, led by Francesca Levett, detailed how Parker used video games like FIFA on the PlayStation to groom and isolate his victims. He subjected them to extreme psychological manipulation, threatening to tell their mothers they were gay or claiming their families would disown them if they spoke out. In one instance, Parker even followed a victim on a family holiday to Turkey to continue the abuse. The impact on the survivors was described as severe, with one victim suffering such psychological harm that he was eventually sectioned.

Parker, who willfully refused to leave his prison cell for the sentencing hearing, was handed an extended sentence of 22 years, comprising a 20-year custodial term and two years on license. Judge Phillip Statman noted the “sinister manner” in which Parker used the internet and blackmail to maintain control over his victims, describing his actions as the highest category of sexual offending. This extended sentence ensures that Parker will serve the majority of his 20-year term in custody and remain under strict supervision for the remainder of his life.

As a result of his convictions, George Parker has been placed on the Sex Offenders Register for life. He is also subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO), which includes prohibitions tailored to his specific patterns of grooming and digital manipulation. These official monitoring requirements are managed by Kent Police under the Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA), which provides a legal framework for inspecting his digital devices and monitoring his residency to prevent any future risk to the public.
