Floris-Adrian Gherghelau, residing on Park Road, Camberley, Surrey, pursued his 18-year-old victim before seizing her and perpetrating a sustained rape at an isolated location in Camberley, soon before 1 am on 1 July 2018.
Following the assault, the woman reached a neighbouring filling station, where she reported the incident, prompting the workers to notify the police.
The victim supplied a description of the perpetrator, and forensic analyses yielded a complete DNA profile that identified Floris-Adrian Gherghelau as a match, resulting in his arrest.
Floris-Adrian Gherghelau, who entered a plea of not guilty to multiple offences, was convicted on all counts and will receive sentencing at a subsequent date.
