In 2024, Emily Hedigan, the Bramley Paedophile, who sexually assaulted a young child and disseminated photographs of the acts, was incarcerated following an inquiry by specialised safeguarding officers in Leeds.
Emily Hedigan, 21, of Broadlea Grove, Bramley, entered a guilty plea to eight charges during her appearance at Leeds Crown Court on February 29, 2024.
She was found guilty of charges related to causing or persuading a boy under 13 to participate in sexual conduct, engaging in sexual touching of a boy under 13, taking, manufacturing, and distributing indecent photos of a minor, and possession of cocaine.
Law enforcement was notified on January 29 of this year when an individual acquired Emily Hedigan’s mobile device and discovered photographs of the youngster on it.
She was apprehended, and her phone was scrutinised by specialist digital forensic analysts who retrieved video and photographic evidence of her sexually assaulting the youngster on multiple occasions.
Subsequent efforts by digital media investigators revealed that Emily Hedigan had been transmitting the photographs to an individual located in another part of the country in return for monetary compensation.
She confessed to the offences during the interview but asserted that she had supplied the photographs under coercion.
Emily Hedigan received a sentence of four years and eight months of incarceration at Leeds Crown Court.
She will be permanently listed on the Sex Offenders Register and has received a lifetime Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
