Back in 2024, Elliot Brooke, a Royal Gibraltar Police Officer and alleged Gibraltar Rapist, charged with attempted rape and misconduct in public service, appeared in the Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
Elliot Brooke, 32, of Devil’s Tower Road, is charged with one crime of attempted rape, two charges of sexual assault, and one count of misconduct in public office.
All allegations pertain to an alleged incident that occurred in August.
Elliot Brooke was apprehended on August 29 while performing police duties and has been suspended from duty since his detention.
On Friday, the Magistrates’ Court relinquished jurisdiction and referred the case to the Supreme Court.
Stipendiary Magistrate Charles Bonfante granted bail to Elliot Brooke in the amount of £2000 on his own recognisance, with conditions prohibiting any approach, interference, or communication with the complainant.
