The Grimsby Paedophile, Edward Sherriff, was convicted of many historical sexual offences against three children following a unanimous jury verdict at Grimsby Crown Court on Tuesday, 22 July, 2025.
Edward Sherriff, 77 years old, of Wainfleet Road, Grimsby, was convicted of the rape of a child under 13, four counts of sexual assault of a child under 13, two counts of sexual assault of a child under 16, eight counts of indecent assault, three counts of gross indecency, and exposure.
An inquiry commenced in 2022 when law enforcement became aware of Edward Sherriff following reports from three persons who revealed they had endured lengthy sexual abuse.
Arrested in June 2022, Edward Sherriff was interrogated by detectives and promptly refuted any sexual inclinations towards children.
Edward Sherriff has been detained in custody to appear at Grimsby Crown Court for sentencing at a further date.
