The Offender Database reported that Dr Andrew McFarlane, the Highlands GP Stalker, 61, is accused of instilling “fear and alarm” in Ellie Wilson by disseminating a series of insulting, disparaging, and abusive remarks across several social media platforms from October 2023 to October 2025.
Daniel McFarlane (https://www.offender.uk/daniel-mcfarlane-inverness-rapist/), his son, was incarcerated for five years in 2022 for the rape of Ms Wilson, who has subsequently emerged as an advocate for survivors of sexual violence.
Dr Andrew McFarlane, a general practitioner in the Highlands, entered no plea during a hearing at Inverness Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
The lawsuit was postponed until next month to allow Dr McFarlane to secure legal representation.
Dr Andrew McFarlane was reported to the General Medical Council (GMC) following allegations after his arrest in August.
Dr Andrew McFarlane allegedly disseminated screenshots of confidential and intimate chats between his son and Ms Wilson.
Daniel McFarlane assaulted Ms Wilson between December 2017 and February 2018 while he was a medical student at the University of Glasgow.
In July 2022, he was convicted of two counts of rape and received a five-year prison sentence.
Dr Andrew McFarlane was granted bail and is scheduled to appear again on December 23, 2025.
