A top hospital consultant, Dr Amal Bose, has been found guilty of exploiting his position to sexually abuse female staff members.

Throughout his trial, the jury was informed that Dr Amal Bose was the primary instigator of a toxic and sexualised atmosphere at Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

His conduct includes unwanted groping of women and making sexualised remarks.

Several of his victims were so impacted by his conduct that they altered their roles to evade him, modified their work routines, or reported sick.

Despite claiming his actions were ‘only flirting’ and ‘banter’ Bose was found guilty by a jury after a trial.

He was convicted of 12 counts of sexual assault relating to five female members of staff at the hospital between 2017 and 2022.

He was cleared of two other counts.

Bose (03/02/1970) of Main Road, Thurnham, Lancaster was bailed and will be sentenced in September.

A Thurnham Sex Offender and senior healthcare consultant at Blackpool Victoria Healthcare, Dr Amal Bose, was imprisoned for sexually assaulting female staff members.

A prominent hospital consultant, found guilty of exploiting his position to sexually abuse female staff members, has been sentenced to imprisonment today.

Throughout his trial earlier this year, the jury determined that Dr Amal Bose was the primary instigator of a toxic and sexualised atmosphere at Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

His conduct includes unwanted groping of women and making sexualised remarks.

Dr Amal Bose was convicted by a jury in June, despite asserting that his conduct constituted only ‘flirting’ and ‘banter.’

He was found guilty of 12 counts of sexual assault involving five female staff members at the hospital from 2017 to 2022.

He was acquitted of two additional charges.

Dr Amal Bose, born on March 2, 1970, of Main Road, Thurnham, Lancaster, appeared at Preston Crown Court today, September 15th, and received a six-year prison sentence.
