The Offender Database reported that Dennis Yarr, the Margate Paedophile Child Molester, a 63-year-old man, has been incarcerated for previous sexual offences in the Vale of Glamorgan, occurring up to 40 years ago.
After an inquiry conducted by South Wales Police, Dennis Yarr was apprehended in Margate, Kent, in December 2020.
His arrest ensued from a victim’s courageous decision to report her sexual assault throughout childhood.
Subsequent investigations led to the identification of two additional victims.
All three individuals were below the age of 12 during the sexual assaults, which transpired in the late 1970s and early 1990s.
Dennis Yarr, originally from Scotland, was employed as a bus and taxi driver in the Vale of Glamorgan.
He presented gifts to two of the females and instructed them to keep his acts confidential.
All three victims valiantly provided statements to the police and subsequently testified in court.
Dennis Yarr was convicted of four counts of indecent assault and one count of child indecency after a week-long trial at Cardiff Crown Court in February 2024.
He returned to Cardiff Crown Court (Wednesday, March 20, 2024) when he received a sentence of seven years’ imprisonment, accompanied by an additional year on licence.
Dennis Yarr will be permanently included on the sex offenders register and is bound by a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
