The Offender Database reported that Declan Wilson, the Cornwall Paedophile Child Molester, a convicted child rapist, violated a court order by transporting an intoxicated 14-year-old to bed.

Declan Wilson, 25, was aware of the order’s stipulations yet continued to reside at the premises with the child.

Declan Wilson, who is homeless, appeared at Truro Crown Court for sentencing after pleading guilty to violating a sexual harm prevention order.

Zoe Kuyken, prosecuting, informed the court that Wilson was prohibited from any direct or indirect contact with children as stipulated in the 10-year sexual harm prevention order issued in 2017.

On May 15 of this year, Declan Wilson intended to visit a 17-year-old’s residence in Camborne, under the impression that she was alone there.

He encountered her at Aldi, accompanied by her 14-year-old cousin. Declan Wilson, aware of her age, yet opted to proceed to the residence with a drink in hand.

Later in the evening, the 14-year-old was so inebriated that Declan Wilson transported her to bed. The two were never in solitary company, yet the incident was reported to law enforcement, resulting in Wilson’s arrest.

Ms Kuyken informed the court that in 2016, Declan Wilson was convicted of two counts of raping a minor under the age of 13 and sentenced to five years in a young offenders’ institution.

He was freed well before reaching the halfway mark, as the following year, he was convicted of engaging in sexual intercourse with a female under 16 and sentenced to 16 months in prison; it was at this instance that the sexual harm prevention order was issued.

This violation was his second infringement of the sexual harm prevention order.

Victoria Bastock, representing Declan Wilson, stated: “He acknowledges that he was in violation and should have extricated himself from the situation upon realising the girl’s age.”

The defendant clearly did not premeditate this offence and was unaware of her presence at the time of the arrangement.

“At the time of the incident, he was homeless and seeking employment.” He has a tumultuous history and was placed in foster care owing to neglect and abuse by his birth parents.

He has received multiple diagnoses, including autism, Tourette’s syndrome, ADHD, and attachment disorders. He desires to alter his behaviour and establish stability for himself.

In sentencing Declan Wilson, Judge Robert Linford stated: “On May 16 of this year, you found yourself in a residence where a 14-year-old minor was present.” You were informed she was 14 en route; however, you proceeded there anyway.

She was inebriated, and you were aware of this, yet deemed it OK to escort her upstairs to bed.

This constituted a wilful violation. Your background renders this situation exceedingly alarming. You did not arrange this. This was a predicament you encountered that you could have circumvented but chose not to.
